The environments we inhabit shape us more than we often realize.

The yogic tradition calls this saṅga: the company we keep, the ideas we consume, and the influences that quietly shape our perception of reality. Over time, what we repeatedly behold leaves an impression on the mind.

Fear, cynicism, and division can become habits. So can wisdom, integrity, kindness, and discernment.

The Yoga Sutras describe the root of this conditioning as avidyā, not a lack of information, but a confusion about what is real. When we mistake inherited stories, identities, or assumptions for truth, we begin seeing the world through those lenses.

Yet yoga offers another possibility. What has been conditioned can be examined. What has been inherited can be questioned. What has been unconsciously accepted can be brought into awareness.

This possibility is where practice begins.

The reality is much simpler.
Handstands are a skill, and skills can be learned.
