Defining yourself through contrast is natural. We often come to know who we are by seeing who we do not want to be. But that does not mean we must judge those whose ways we choose not to follow. Finding our path is rarely about absolutes. True self-discovery arises most deeply when it is not against anyone else, but when we find the tune that makes our own heart sing and allow ourselves to sing it fully.

The Upaniṣads say: (ātmānaṁ vidhi) — know yourself. This call turns us inward, away from comparison and judgment, toward the quiet work of uncovering what is most real within. If we believe being true to ourselves requires controlling who others are, tearing them down, or proving them wrong, we may be missing something essential—each of us must find our own way. As long as no harm is done, there is space for both of us to exist, to grow, and to thrive. Of course, when real harm is present, that is another matter and calls for a very different response. But more often than not, we mistake preference for principle and spiral into reactivity.

The world can sometimes feel loud and overwhelming. We may even feel pressured to change our tune to be liked or accepted. But perhaps there is another way: a frequency where our voices can weave together in harmony.

48 hours in Abu Dhabi. I managed to squeeze in a little bit of sightseeing today, eat so many dates so I lost count, and spend time with some amazing people.
